How to reach your hotel

Central Tozeur is less than 10 minutes away; Nefta under half an hour.

Useful for going straight to a hotel in the tourist zone or to a desert camp near Douz.

A car is almost essential in the south: the oases of Chebika and Tamerza, Chott el Djerid, Douz…

There is no regular public transport from the airport: plan on a taxi, a transfer or a hire car.

Distances and journey times are approximate, by road, excluding traffic and stops.

Flights are infrequent: check which days they operate before booking your nights locally.
For a tour of the south, fly into Tozeur and out of Djerba with a hire car in between.
In summer, drive early in the morning or late in the day and always carry water.
