How to reach your hotel

Taxi

Taxis wait outside, but the airport is isolated: the fare to Hammamet or Sousse is considerably higher than a trip across town. Agree the price before setting off.

Private transfer

The most popular option here: the airport is about 40 minutes from both Hammamet and Sousse, and a pre-booked transfer saves any haggling on arrival.

Car hire

Several car hire companies operate in the terminal. A car is ideal for exploring Kairouan, El Jem or Cap Bon.

Public transport

There is no convenient scheduled service to the beach resorts. Louages (shared taxis) leave from the town of Enfidha, a few kilometres from the terminal.

Good to know

  • Check whether your tour operator includes the hotel transfer: it often does with all-inclusive packages.
  • The A1 motorway runs close by: Hammamet, Sousse and even Tunis are easy to reach by car.
  • The terminal is large and few services are open at night: bring water and some dinars if you are arriving late.
